WEEN - Pod (Limited Fuscus Coloured Vinyl)

Second studio album from New Hope, Pennsylvania's Ween. The Pod was originally recorded in 1990 at the band's apartment of the same name in Solebury Township, PA.

It's a murky, sludge filled effort that is bound to confound some and please plenty of others.
Some may say it's a "difficult" album that moves at a snail's pace, but there are touches of 70s prog-rock excellence buried amongst the fuzz; moments of brilliance that still stand up today.

The bedroom thrash of "Sketches of Winkle," "Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese" (a precursor to "Pushing Up Daisies") and the Dylan-esque "Sorry Charlie" are all good places to start.
